FIT FOR THE KINGDOM

ABOUT

About Fit For the Kingdom

As my time at the University of Texas was coming to an end I was faced with the choice between financial security in a job that I hated and pursuing my passion doing what I love. I wrestled with the idea of going out on my own for some time but, ultimately realized that I was called to start my own personal training business. FFTK was born in 2012 and the rest is history.

Location: Over the years FFTK has had a few locations but Sam Ditzell and the Austin Fitness Clinic have always been staunch supporters of our mission. Thankfully, FFTK can now call AFC home. AFC is a full service studio where many of my clients enjoy active release therapy, acupuncture and deep tissue/corrective massage as supplemental treatments to their sessions with me. We work together as a team to give our clients the best opportunity to live full lives and succeed in their pursuit of total wellness.

Mission: I believe we are called to be the best version of ourselves that we can be. I don't mean we are to look the best or be the strongest but that we are meant to meet our full potential. I believe a large part of realizing this potential involves taking care of our physical bodies. As a personal trainer I focus first on the physical aspect of training but incorporate mental, emotional, and most importantly, spiritual aspects as well. My passion for holistic fitness is the driving force behind my approach to lifestyle change. Taking care of our physical being is part of loving ourselves well. Loving ourselves allows us to love others well and to go where we are called in order allow us to be used for His purposes in the Kingdom.

My goal is to empower clients to take control of their lives.

Jentri rocks. I lived with a shoulder impingement for years, and went through multiple doctors and physical therapists, but nothing really helped. With Jentri's help it's finally improving. Doesn't hurt that she whipped me into "crop-top shape" (we all have goals) for music fest season at the same time, but even that's nothing compared to moving freely and without pain!
I know how hard it is to choose a personal trainer in Austin. There are so many. I've had multiple, and I did my research before finding Jentri. I wanted someone body-positive to help me get healthy and look fabulous. Just go to one session and you will see that she is more knowledgeable about your body than 90% of the trainers out there. I really feel like Jentri is helping my body become the best it can be, both function AND form. Don't waste your money on a "trainer" who just recites Shape magazine when you can have someone who can truly teach and guide to to improving your quality of life.

Jentri is a great trainer! She challenged me to go beyond what I thought I could do, and she was always super positive and encouraging. She made me strong and made me feel strong as well!

Jentri has been my trainer since January. I'm an athlete but have lost a lot of my muscle mass as I age and have been experiencing ankle, knee, and hip pain. It was getting to the point where I wasn't as active because I was in pain all the time. Jentri broke my strength training down to the basics and has helped me gain strength in the weak areas that were causing my pain. Because of her I'm back to playing soccer, cycling, and running at my old pace! She is an absolute pleasure to work with and is very flexible in her scheduling (I travel a lot for work so this is a major plus!) I'd recommend her without reservation!

Jentri Broumley has been my trainer for over two years. During the past ten+ years, I have worked with several other trainers. However, Jentri is the first, that, as they say in the entertainment business, is a triple threat. This is because she is extremely competent in all three qualities I look for in a trainer:
1. She is very knowledgeable regarding the anatomy of the body and uses these principles to make sure I get the most out of my workouts without unduly stressing me and causing any injuries.
2. She listens carefully to what my goals are and prepares workouts that have produced results: weight loss, improved muscle tone and increased endurance.
3. She is professional and fun to work with. She always runs on time and gives me just the right amount of motivational support and advice/corrections. I will also add that she goes out of her way to be flexible with her schedule and has always accommodated me when I need to occasionally shift my regular time.

I highly recommend Jentri Broumley to anyone who is looking for a trainer.

I asked Jentri for some help with diversifying my routines. She's been super helpful -- offers fun challenging moves; suggests intensity variations for different exercises; and explains the why as well as the how. At my first visit, my lower back felt very tense. After trying out some recommended workouts and posture advice, I feel much less lower-back tension overall.

I first met Jentri when she was training clients at a local gym and loved her so much that I followed her when she began to work for herself. Over the past year, she has helped me to lose a significant amount of weight, drop 4 clothing sizes, and cease taking the medication I was on for some arthritis issues. My attitude toward exercise has changed drastically and I actually look forward to our sessions and how I feel afterward. Jentri and her services have truly been life changing.

Jentri's definition of fun includes new exercises that she's excited about, but will make your abs, butt, whatever burn. Don't let her fool you; they will not be fun. But you will be glad you did them, and the unique grin she gets when she announces the exercise will probably make you groan, and try anyway. Because she will tell you you can do it. And you can. My husband and I had been through a few trainers at the Y before we found Jentri, and I'm so glad we found each other! She has stayed with us when others haven't, and is the only one who successfully encouraged us to come twice a week, so we could see real gains. I have stronger muscles that my running-only regimen couldn't give me, and Jentri makes sure that I work on things that will help my marathoning lifestyle, not hinder it. If you're looking for a trainer who will greet you with a smile and truly wants the best for you, give Fit for the Kingdom a try!

Jentri has been my trainer since fall 2015, and she has worked with me to significantly reduce my back and shoulder pain. She is unfailingly supportive and has developed a workout specific to my needs to strengthen my core and improve posture. My mobility, flexibility, and confidence have improved tremendously. Plus, she makes challenging workouts fun--I always look forward to them. Thanks, Jentri!
